Thread: How do I post an avatar?

Seems like I am prohibited from some functions on the site, setting an avatar being one of them. Another is not being able to post pictures in my posts. I'm sure there are more. How'en is this sort of thing sorted out? Thanks much cuz...

You're supposed to be able to add your own custom avatar and upload pictures. Could you please tell me what kind of error message you're getting?

I've been having the same problem, and all I get is:

vBulletin Message
Unable to save image

I've asked the vBulletin guys for help with this one. The problem seems to be with the uploading of new images.

You might need to check permissions on the avatar upload directory. Not being able to write there would likely cause the symptoms described.

That's my guess, too. (I'm running into the same problem trying to save a new avatar, here.)

I'm too busy to date your avatar.

It's not the folder permissions that is the problem. According to the vBulletin guys it's a server problem, so I've contacted them now, and they'll have a look at it. ticket 16203443!

Hopefully we'll have it resolved in not too long time.
