Allright, gotta sound in on this.

A lot of things get said/argued/suggested/flogged_well_beyond_the_point_of_reason on forums that I dislike. If a topic does not appeal to me I ignore it and move on. I don't see how polls are any different - in fact they are advertised as being polls upfront with a colorfull little icon, saving you the time of reading any posts before realising you don't like the thread.

And the evidence is that most people like to take the time to click on poll results. They get many clicks, much more than posts usually. And even the silly frivolous ones seem to entertain a segment of the board members.

I personally hate Elves, Ninjas, and Discussions of Atomic Structure and how it relates to variable armor points for example, but when I realise a thread is not to my liking I just skip it, I don't try to get it moved to some irrelevant part of the board.

If you have no interest in a poll titled "What would you like to do with a Troll Hag in bed?" just skip it.
