I came up with a somewhat plasiuble explanation for this. About the only one I can think of. Somehow the magnetic elctrical blast meched up Alpha's artificial gravity system and the moon effective mass dropped for a little while. Since gravity is a function of mass (just how gravity works is still something of a mystery), then an artificali gravity system probably creates artificial mass. Since the Eagles are said to have one that allows them to reduce gravitational effects (so they can turn at high speeds without the crew slamming into a bulkhead and turning into jam), then it can be surmmised that they work in revser.

So somehow the "explosion" messed around with the artifical gravity and reduced the moons effective mass to the point where it could be moved.

Plausible, if you have an artifical gravity/antigravity device. I didn't think we do and pretty certain we didn't last decade, but who knows what SHADO kept secret from us at Area 51.

But them, I don't keep up with the news and completely missed that whole nuclear war we had in 1987!

I could post a link with my not quite complete write up for the Eagle. I'd love to put some of the stuff, like character creation, equipment and all that up somewhere, but since the setting is a copywritten, owned property, I'm hesitant to do so.

Generally, companies have been very tolerant of fan produced, non-profit things like RPGs, and realize that going after the fans is a good way to loose fans (and sales). And it isn't like Carton's gone after the Space:1999 RPG websites, but since this isn't my website, I'm not about to do so.

A email on the other hand, is a different matter. Of course if Triff doesn't mind if I post a link to a jpg that is hosted at imageshack or some such, that is cool too.

I just don't want to put Triff at any risk, no matter how slight. Especially without his permission.
