Added a "top posters" module to the index page - badcat, congratulations with the top position!

Added a "image gallery" module to the index page - showing random thumbnails from the gallery.

I need some advice from our community here now concerning how the website should develope.

As it is, the entire site is using php-language, which I am not really that familiar with.

What I am wondering about is excately how satisfied people are with the layout of the index page, and the links page. All the modules are somewhat bad for SEO (getting picked up by the search engines).

Should I stick with it as it is, and continue working in this direction, or should I revert to html? Reverting to html would give the other pages a bit more different layout than the forum, and you wouldn't be able to log in on the main page, or see how many new posts had been made. I'm a bit uncertain in which direction to proceed.

Any input would be appreciated!

I say keep with the php for as much as you can stand to do so. It seems to deliver more useability to the posters.

Honestly, as cool as the whole unified board is, I'd ditch keeping the whole site the way it is in favour of a more traditional website.

The main page is a bit busy as it is and honestly I don't use it much. I think keeping to the forum look and feel will hold you back in some ways. And if it hurts search optimization that is all the more reason to ditch it - you've got a really good BRP site going and stupid Google should be made to recognise that fact that is one of, if not the, premiere BRP web site on the web.

Though on the forum side you really should get some more smilies when you get a chance. There is a great one out there of a person actually flogging a dead horse I could have used once or twice...

(heck you don't even even have an evil smilie )

One possibility is to just remove the left column of modules. That would do wonders for SEO alone. Hmm...

It does hold me back somewhat with the layout, that it does. On the link list f.ex., I would have liked to put the pictures to the right of the links instead of below, but that was not possible.

I know this have been lacking. Okay, tomorrow I will add smileys! (horse-flogging smiley, were did you find that? we should have a pie-smiley too i think!)

Do anyone have amiley set they would like to recommend? Should I just go for the basic MSN smileys, or something else?
