Hmmm, seems an unlikely gathering place for vampires what with all those sharp pointy sticks around...

Hope everyone had a good Halloween (if you practice it).

I ended up watching the silent film version of The Call of Cthulhu, with (sorta former) BRP co-author Sam Johnson. Fajitas, trick-or-treaters, and eldritch, squamous horror. Good times!

Opps. I fumbled my World Lore skill.
And the really embarassing part is that I knew that, too.

I ended up staying home, sick. Watched 'The Dunwich Horror.' Took the wee one and the very pregnant wife around the block for trick or treating. Woke up at 2 the next morning. Drove the wife to the hospital and had a bouncing baby boy! I was a couple of hours away from having a Halloween baby!

Congratulations!

(If it's any consolation, one of my best friends has a Halloween birthday and he says it sucked. Birthday parties always conflicted with Halloween parties.)

Hope you're feeling better... the first days after a birth are no time to be at anything less than 100%.

Congratulations!

How do you know he bounces? I hope the doctor didn't drop him!

(sorry, I'll be going now...)

I've got a Christmas Baby myself - birthdays don't come much worse than that!

I went to school with a guy who was a Christmas baby (actually I think he was Dec 23rd, but close enough). He used to say that it pretty much was like not having a Birthday. He7d get a cake and one or two presents wrapped in some sort of "Happy Birthday" paper, but the big presents were being saved for Christmas.

Glad I was born on a pagan holiday that isn't celebrated.

P.S.> Strangely enough, I'm probably one of a handful of people baptized on Halloween.

I had a girlfriend whose birthday was Dec. 25 (expensive holiday, but that was OK) and have a wife whose birthday is July 4. Really.

My most memorable Halloween was 1998...we got together for a Halloween potluck and Call of Cthulu game, and a nice horror movie, the Resurrected. Not too long after dinner and the movie, right after we started the game and it was nice and dark outside, a wind storm started up and the power went out. Very spooky, especially with my freaked out cat running around. We lit a bunch of candles and proceeded with the game in the dark with the wind howling outside. Most atmospheric CoC game ever...
