The things that were hard to visualize were the "Catpain Hero races across town ." kay he has 4 APs of Flight, and across two in two miles, so that's uhh (look at chart) 11 Aps distance. So it takes him 11-4 =7 APs of time, that's (look at other chart) 8 minutes.

It probably would have been easier to just go with the flight speed of 15mph and divide by the distance.

DC used the APs a little too much.

Its virtually a necessity for manageable numbers when working in the scales involved in superhero games.
Pretty much a necessity for all RPGs to some degree. Otherwise the first bear or elephant winds up in the auto kill range. Supers need it the most just because they have the widest stat ranges.

Well, I think that was just an issue of expectation; they didn't expect that most people really cared how fast he was most of the time; just how long it took him to get from A to B.

That's wht I mean about how it would have been easier to stick with real world measurements like mph rather than converting weverything into APs. It's sort of like working out how long it will take to walk a kilometer in RQ3 by doing it in stirke ranks and starting on the correct DEX SR. You can do it, but why?

It was as if they were so happy that the mechanics COULD handle things that the went a little "AP happy".
