One more thing about Elder secrets is there are article on Rune metals and Magical crystals that I think are very nice. so you can put your troll in lead plate or use crystal besides the standered power crystals.

Not being able to make proper use of Rune Metals and Magic Crystals without buying Elder Secrets rankles somewhat. Could someone tell us the full rules for these things, please?

Although it is written well and the viewpoint is fun, I dislike what is written on rune metals, their benefits are very bland and mostly ineffective. The crystals are much more interesting and are effectively 2nd ed.

Otherwise Elder secrets is well worth buying.
