Sky Mountain Myths 02 - Creation Myths

First was Chaos, the Formless Void, and Chaos was alone. Then Chaos awoke and realised it was Dark and Chaos was no longer alone. Chaos held Dark in an embrace and between them grew Earth. But, Earth knew it was different to Chaos and Dark and desired a companion, so Earth split into two and became Soft Earth and Hard Earth, female and male. As they rubbed together, they became warm and the warmth felt good, but after a while warm became hot and uncomfortable, but Hard Earth could not budge. The heat looked for a way out and found a small weakness in Hard Earth and a mountain grew higher and higher until the Heat burst forth and became the Sky, spreading out from the Sky Mountain. The Sky looked at hard Earth and felt sorrow at how barren he was. Clouds boiled across the Sky and the Sky wept and softened the Hard Earth and formed rivers and Seas. Thus was the First Cycle of Creation completed.
