You could certainly conflate this forum with Worlds of Wonder, or rebrand them more clearly as "Systems" and "Settings".

I would recommend keeping the PbP section its own forum, as well as the technical forum (The Beetle Pens) - which is where this poll should be, technically. Plus, I'd move the conventions and trading aspects of that forum to the Gamer's Cavern.

But that's just my opinion.

I ve been sitting on the fence on this one but just voted one forum. I ultimately read everything right now, and so it is just a matter of more navigation for me right now.

I agree though that play by post should be its' own forum.

Maybe when the game comes out more division will be necessary - time will tell.

I wasn't in favor of more forums originally... but now they're here and it's not a big deal...

When I'm in a hurry, I often only dip into the systems forum.

I think this is all due to starting off new forums too quickly. Remeber the "wait and add new forums as they are needed" answer on the poll that led to multiple forums?

Right now, the forum is filled up with chatter, speculation, and the odd tidbit of info from Jason. ONce the game is in our collecte hot little hands, then we might see more.

Could you temporaily make the Skull Inn forum the main forum, and the other'S subforums (make the sticky so they stay on the front page). In a few weeks, months, if ever, the other forums become active, then you can split them off.

That's an alternative. Or we could combine it with Jason's suggestion, joining the system & settings forums, and have a games subforum with PbP-subforums, trading, conventions & off-topic. Technical needs only one sticky thread really.

How does that sound?

I think bypassing the forum main pages would be a good thing, at least now.

What about this: One basic roleplaying forum, with all system & setting discussion, and one subforum, gamer's cavern for all the rest: subforums with PhP games, trading, adverticing for convertions and other BRP websites, links, offtopic stuff & polls. Also two sticky-threads in the main forum - introductions and site updates/request/suggestions.

Any objections to that organization?

I voted for how it is now. I don't like wading through a lot of posts and fear that this may happen after the book is released and people start talking about the book.

Lots of posts to wade through is what I'm hoping for! Heavy posting is not a problem as it is, and we can always change back if several forums become necessary. So far it's only adding navigation time, as the forum isn't that active. With the book probably not being out before 2008, I'm not expecting a great increase in activity until that.

So...

Change is coming!

The reason I don't like one forum, is say I go on vacation, when I come back to catch up on posts, if everything is in one forum there is a chance I will have multiple pages to read through.
