Better with only one forum?

I'm personally not that happy with the new forum organization, as people have to go first to the forum main pages, and then to the forums with new post. With only one forum, we could bypass the main forum pages all together, and just link directly to the actual forum pages. It activity is not that great that more than one forum is really needed. So, it's a new poll! Better before, or better after the change was made? What do our members think?

Currently we only have 20 threads per page. I could increase the default number too, so threads on a forum would get last in the back pages so quickly.

EDIT: the MRQ forum have 50 per page I see, and they have only one forum (for RuneQuest)

My thoughts exactly.

Given the domain name, I'm sure traffic will jump considerably after publication.

I'd like to suggest waiting a bit, per TRose and Jason. After release we should know what the increase will be like. Right now we really only have the Usual Suspects! ;-)

But is there really any need for four forums? Is there anyone here who only read the system-forum and not the settings-forum f.ex.? To me it seems like four forums only lead to more time being spent navigating between the forums. Even if the traffic on the forum increased considerably after the game is out, one forum would still be able to handle it (I could just increase the # of threads per page if the activity increased a lot). MRQ have loads of stuff out, and one forum does the trick there - and works rather well.
