Default QuickReply, keep or not?

As it says. Is there many of you who actully use the quick reply function? Or is it just taking up space before the forum jump menu?

I don't think I've ever used it on any forum.

Specially since you have to press the QuickReply button first before you can write in the QuickReply box, there's not that much time to save on it either.

I actually do use it some times. Usually for short messages just like this one.

So that's one who'd like to keep it at least.

What "Quick Reply button"...?
...Oh, that. Nah, never used it. So I'd say "Not".

BTW, many thanks for setting up the forum - it's great. Don't be offended I don't say as much as I used to on the MRQ one. I don't go there anymore. Everyone here just says such sensible things, I don't need to add anything.

Cheers!

I actually like it (it's appreciably faster for non-quoting replies), and it doesn't seem to be doing any harm.

I'd say keep it.

I use it sometimes as well.

Is there any downside to keeping quick reply?

Hehe, that fine frogspawner! Maybe we'll get some more controversy on this board to when the book is out (though I doubt we'll be able to match the post-release MRQ flamewars).

Then we keep it. The only downside is that people have to scroll further down to get to the forum jump menu (though logged in members can have them collapsed). But if the quick reply function is in use, we'll leave it as it is.
