Talking The Future of Basic Roleplaying .com

So, it seems to be a consensus for vBadvanced, making the style of the entire page more "unified". I had a look at enworld, and they're actually using that software too.

I'll start working with that when I'm back from my holiday (I need some rest between my bouts of demented machocism! ). I will probably also try adding a gallery, so I can move the art from the Glorantha Fan Art Gallery at www.runequest.info over here.

Once that's completed (which will probably take a looong time), we can take up the discussion about a wiki again.

Zoints local has been discarded.

Hi Sorloc! With smf my abilities to modify the forum is much less. vBulletin have a very large mod-community, and a lot of software is released for it free of charge, including vBadvanced, which I will use to give the entire page a more "unified" look. The wiki and gallery software I've been looking at is also vBulletin specific.

vBulletin is a commercial software which cost me some bucks, I and think it's the best on the market. I'm not going to exchange it with a free forum software with a more limited support.

BUT, please tell me what you prefer with smf, and I'll see if I can't implement it here on this forum too!

Demented Masochist

It warms my heart to know that so many read my posts, probably because most of them know Firearrow.

Thanks for all the thankless work, Triffle. I guess that's one way to avoid getting banned!

Yes, and you know me Atgxtg - if I happen to ban myself, I'll only be back with an IP scrambler later!

You should know that all the work you are putting into this is not thankless at all. I'd love to help, but I am a helpless putz when it comes to this stuff. I for one am really happy about this site, forum, fanzine, and all. And I just hope it doesn't get too much like herding cats and you give up on it...

Thumbs up

I am also not very useful with websites or computer things (I did not even manage to get the dice roller work...???)
So all I can contribute to this technical stuff is: great work man, Trifletraxor for president

And badcat can maybe send you some cats for herding, no? (if this is helpful, I mean)
