Stoatbringer
Does magic in MRQ and Legend differ? And if it does, does it differ substantially? nclarke
Legend is MRQII with the Glorantha stuff removed. It is different from MRQI though. Quote Nigel
1d8+DB
Right off the top of my head, I don't believe that there is any major structural difference in how magic works between MRQ and Legend. From MRQ1 to MRQ2 (Legend) the major changes were: --Combat styles rather than choosing individual weapon skills. --Maneuvers triggered by special successes. --The movement scale is different: ie., a MRQ1 human has a movement rate of 4 meters/round; which is doubled for MRQ2. nclarke
MRQI has a lot of magic using runes though so it's different to MRQII/Legend. Quote Nigel
1d8+DB
Oops. No rune of Mastery for me! Yeah, instead of common magic there's runic magic, which requires that the caster be 'integrated' to the rune in question. Also, for the divine magic, Legend/MRQ 2 requires the use of the Pact skill, to recover divine magic.
