Spiral_Scratch
Would anyone be interested in getting a game going via the Roll20 beta (or anything else) online? I'm somewhat of a beginner to roleplaying games, so I'd love to find a group or GM who knows what they're doing in comparison. Genre isn't all that important, though some type of fantasy would be preferable. I have pretty flexible hours (GMT-5).
soltakss
Unfortunately, my wife won't let me play online roleplaying games - once a week gaming is more than enough for her. However, there are a number of people here who do play online and I am sure that there will be games available fairly regularly. If you are new to roleplaying games then you should enjoy online roleplaying and it will give you an idea as to whether you would like tabletop/face-to-face roleplaying. Good luck in finding a game. Newt
Ok I'll bite and offer to run a game. Need to do a bit of OQ2 playtesting anyway Initial offer is to run a short introductory scenario, so people (including me) can get used to what ever platform I choose to use, and then a longer more committed game later on. Spiral which time zone are you in? Im in the UK so I'm GMT +0. Spiral_Scratch
Newt, that sounds freaking awesome, thank you. I'm in GMT -5, but I have very flexible hours as long as I have some notice. I'm so psyched for OQ2

wbcreighton
You might want to check out a virtual gaming convention coming up July 20-22. GMs will be using Fantasy Grounds 2 VTT software, and the games are free to play in. I know there is a rules extension for FG2 made for OQ. This would be a good chance to test the software with no obligation. See the thread here: http://basicroleplaying.com/basic-roleplaying/fantasy-grounds-2-virtual-gaming-convention-2012-a-2930/ ( we are hoping for some BRP games on the calendar in the next day or two.) doofstructor
Would love to participate, especially since I am just now plunking down some groats to support OpenQuest2 at indiegogo. Perhaps after the dust settles from that campaign we'll see Newt back to run that game?
Newt
Yup, I'm up to my neck in doing OQ2 and other D101 bits at the moment + as usual real life has mugged me big time Quote Head Honcho of D101 GamesPublisher of Crypts and Things/Monkey/OpenQuest/River of HeavenThe Sorcerer Under the Mountain
Baron
I'd love to try it out, but my family is too demanding to allow me to game 'live' online! Could do a play-by-post, or play-by-email game, though. Or face-to-face if anyone's in Los Angeles!
daddystabz
I've been looking to get into an online group for this game for months. Do you all want to still make this happen?
wbcreighton
I noticed that there is an online gaming convention this weekend using roll20.net Nov 16-18 AetherCon I wonder if this con might be a good place to try out roll20.net VTT. According to the website it is completely free. I've never used roll20, but I play in a weekly online game using Fantasy Grounds 2 VTT. It might be worth a try. Depending on timing I might be able to join a session. Quote I use fantasygrounds.com
