Woo-hoo!

I just got word from Nick that they've received a call from their shipper, stating that AS is on a pallet and scheduled for delivery to their warehouse -tomorrow-!

Which means, barring any unforeseen shenanigans, it should be hitting US retailers in a week or so. I'll be swinging by Chaosium tomorrow to pick up a few copies, and will post a photo when I do.

Thanks for all your patience on this one, guys. I hope you enjoy the book!

;D

Please don't contact me with Chaosium questions. I'm no longer associated with the company, and have no idea what the new management is doing.

I was told as soon as the PTB return from GAMA. So it should be available for sale in PDF shortly before it hits retail stores.

Whoohoo!

Can someone decode what "as soon as the PTB return from GAMA" means in human speak? I'm hoping to get a PDF...

It reminds me of the Monte Python bit during the Spanish Inquisition Sketch, where the messenger said something like, "one o the flay rods gon out askew on treadle," then had to admit he had no idea what it meant either. (and then made the mistake of saying he didn't expect a Spanish Inquisition...)

I can't figure out where I have the most current draft squirreled away, but the last draft I can find is hitting 115 pages. My guess is it didn't change -too- much from there. The draft I've got is mostly complete, but missing a few pieces of back-matter.

Can't wait to get a copy!

Me either!

I'm waiting for a call from Nick to let me know it's been delivered, then I'm going to run over and grab a few copies. Yay!

Bah! I can't figure out embedding a photo from my tablet.

Can someone figure out how to parse the link above into something we can see?

Love the cover! I'm F5-ing Chaosium site but still no book. :P

Edit: Don't know if this old new or not but FRPgames have the following description for the book:

Whether steeped in philosophy and existentialism, or action and carnage, the one commonality to all tales of fantasy is the influence of the supernatural on the natural world. Mages, wizards, and sorcerers force the world to bend to their will. They grab the raw stuff, the fundamental essence of the universe, and force it to do their bidding. Offering new options for players of Magic World, as well as other Basic Roleplaying-based games, Advanced Sorcery features five distinct chapters focusing on specific mystical divinations and practices: Deep Magic, Herbalism, Necromancy, Runes, and The Summoners Art. Also included are over two dozen new spells to add to your sorceror's arsenal.

Excellent, very excited +++ Love the book cover and wanting this content very much!

No doubt I will have to wait to get the print edition from Amazon as its usually too expensive to get it shipped over to me otherwise. However I'm sure Chaosium will have prompt pdf release as well, so that will likely be my initial experience with this one. Either way I'm looking forward to it!

" Sure it's fun, but it is also well known that a D20 roll and an AC is no match against a hefty swing of a D100% and a D20 Hit Location Table!"

I think I know the answer, but I wanna check with peeps that know more than I....

Is Advanced Sorcery 100% compatible with OpenQuest 2?

The only thing you would have to change is the stat vs. stat spells to dodge.persistance and resistance skills. Other than that your good to go.

You don't even have to worry about hit locations either since Magic World uses the Major wound s table as well.
